Why? It's so light that you don't know you're wearing it, windproof, warm (surprisingly given that it's so thin and packs down into the supplied small bag), showerproof and comfortable. The warmth is the most surprising thing; -3 degrees today and I'm still not getting cold. And there was me looking at similar looking coats at double or three times this cost thinking they would be better.
