Review: A good and practical phone that is rugged -Be careful on compatibility with cell twr updates - This UPDATES MY REVIEW. MARCH 2022, I used mine with Consumer Cellular. With a drop of 3G my phone worked on Data, but not did not process calling. CC and local reps at Target could not fix what they said to be a SIM card incompatibility. And that forced me to buy a sleazy new phone. I like my Atom L much better. Be wary of this problem and if anyone has better advice please provide info. ---------- Orig review -----------My first smart phone was a petite Atom which I liked. This continued to work following ocean immersion. As I became a heavier user I needed a larger phone with higher capacity battery. The Atom L met that requirement. Although a larger size it is still not too big and the larger screen, especially keyboard, is nice. It seems very rugged and has other added capabilities (over the Atom) such as SD card compatibility. The camera is very good. I use Consumer Cellular and some system settings had to be changed to download data with easy tech support of CU, I found a nice rotating clip case by Turtleback (for iPhone 5/5S/SE) that is a perfect fit (itemA-PMPVerSMExtHDL2). Other on-line reviews cover the phone in more detail. Overall a good practical phone that is not fragile. The owner manual is a bit too minimal. That should be improved. An update a year later - still working fine with good battery life. Yesterday after dark dropped it off the end of a pier in sea water. Using a crab net I recovered it this AM and after a period it seemed to recover fine and tests our OK and seems to be fully functional again. I would buy this again. I think a good choice for heavy duty use where a basic, non-glitz, smart phone is the requirement.
Review: My everyday phone - My wife and I have been using these phones for 4 months now as our everyday phones and we both love them. My phone has a small tech problem where I can't adjust the volume with the side buttons very well, you have to press the button and wait a couple seconds then continue pressing it to change the volume, it is kind of annoying but not enough to for me to bother getting it fixed. My wife's phone doesn't have this issue, her volume buttons work like they should. I like having the smaller phone, I was sick of having to carry around my giant Samsung phone. The camera isn't anything spectacular but the battery life is amazing. With frequent use I have never seen the battery drop below 40%. I do charge it every night though. My wife uses hers much less than me and it will last her about 3 days before she charges it and it's still usually 20-30%. The downsides of this phone are it's weight, thickness, and it's sharp corners. It weighs about half a pound and is thicker than any smartphone I've ever seen. It also has sharp corners where the plastic joints meet up, I used sandpaper to smooth them down because they annoyed me so much, now the phone looks a little funny but it's much more comfortable to hold. All in all it's an excellent phone and well worth the low pricetag. I am glad I found this small screen smartphone.

**Q: Does this phone work with the current 2021 at&t 4g network as they transition away from 3g?**
A: I have been using it fine but apparently it is being deprecated due to lack of VoLTE. I am very sad. I really like this little phone.

**Q: Does this phone have 4G?**
A: Yes, worked great on tmobile

**Q: Will this work on US cellular network**
A: Still working on TMobile 5/23

**Q: Why does is say both that it does and does not support att network?? Whick one is it and what does it take to make it work on there system.**
A: My atom L also did not work with AT&T,  until I got a cheap AT&T flip phone replacement, 
After I got the flip up and running, I connected my Atom L to WIFI (without sim card) and did an update.
then I took the 4G sim card out ( NOT A 3G or a 5G) and put it into my Atom L.
Still working fine after 2 weeks now . . .

### ⭐ Tough Phone That Doesn't Work

I have had it 3+ months, bought new, paid ~$290. On Verizon. Setup quick. Good: Phone casing is great, tough. Phone is great with near waterproof capabilities. The appeal was the size. It's small, and the screen is clear. Bad: DOES NOT hold a WiFi signal, at home or at work; right side sensitivity of the touch screen goes in and out. Typing keys freeze, and it crashes often. Bluetooth is sketchy, drops all of the time. Photo quality is terrible. App is even worse - may be the culprit. I was REALLY hoping that this would work out. I hate that phones are so damn big these days. I even ordered a Titan Preorder. Definitely bummed. $300 I'm not getting back, have to figure out a suitable reuse for it. Sad face.
