I own many of these bristle brushes - one in travel bag, one at home, one in second home, etc. IF bristles shed a lot, get a waterproof glue like Weldbond, put in at ferrule all around then let dry 24-48 hours. It will work like a dream after that.

**Q: is this brush also known as a hog hair brush?**
A: Thank you, I will. I had seen some of them a few months back, but had forgotten how he used them. Now why didn't I think of that... :)

**Q: Does this brush work wellfor blending acrylic paints?**
A: I have not used this brush with acrylic paints.  My guess is this brush would blend acrylics well.

**Q: Is the hog bristle on this brush as stiff as a regular hog bristle on oil paint brushes?**
A: The bristles are very stiff,  about the same as an oil painting brush.

**Q: what are the bristles made of?**
A: These brushes are NOT synthetic. They are made with Hog bristle. They hold lots of water and pigment.

If you are not sure how to use this brush, check out Sterling Edwards on You Tube or his website. Very versatile! I bought just the medium size for budget reasons; would consider the other two when funds are available. In the meantime, this one works!
