He enjoyed the quality and the ingredients and he likes his spiciness so I worked good for him. Individual packages are versatile for him so when he needs to have a quick meal at school, it works perfect perfectly for him. Review: My new favorite ramen - I've found my new favorite chili ramen. I'd been buying Nissin Top Ramen (Chili Flavor) because it's delicious and nicely spicy and, unlike most or all Maruchan offerings (including their Oriental and Chili flavors), it's actually vegetarian. (Yes, Maruchan ramen tends to have beef products in it even if it appears to be an entirely meat-free flavor.) When I told a friend that ramen was one of the staples of my diet, she told me it has basically no nutritional value (I kinda knew that, but hey, that's what vitamin supplements are for! lol), so I decided to look and see if maybe there was a more nutritionally valuable ramen out there. I don't much believe this ramen is that - the physical product gives every appearance of being the same as Nissin or Maruchan. But Ramen Express's noodles seem to be of a slightly higher quality - the mouthfeel has a smoothness and uniformity to it that makes me think so - and it's still nice and spicy and quite delicious while creating a slightly less rich broth, which is to my personal liking; I used to use less than the full contents of the spice packets because the other brands' broth seemed a bit over the top (no pun intended ;). And, like Top Ramen, it's vegetarian. *And* it does seem to have a shorter ingredient list containing fewer chemical-looking names. I may keep looking for a more "authentic" ramen (if there is such a thing), or I may just start adding in more veggies and other things to make Ramen Express ramen more nutritious. But this is definitely an improvement (in my opinion) over the two most common brands. I was only disappointed in the shipping: desertcart shipped me a flat that looked like it had been run into with a forklift (and the outer shipping box was undamaged and this kind of bashage could not have happened while the flat was in an undamaged box...which means some sequence of careless people knowingly picked and shipped a badly damaged product), so that I get a lot of short, broken noodles in most bowls. But that's on desertcart and not the manufacturer. The product itself is quite satisfactory and I recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative (and possibly a somewhat healthier one) to Nissin and Maruchan. πŸ™πŸ» ## Features - SAVORY FLAVOR: 100% vegetarian instant noodles with a super satisfying, wholesome taste. - DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? They're good but they won't replace the maruchan chili brand. These aren't as flavorful, they're spicy but that doesn't equate to flavor. So I'd rather pay a little extra and wait a little longer and get the maruchan brand. Again, these aren't bad! They're just not as good! ## Frequently Bought Together - RAMEN EXPRESS Hotter and Spicier Flavor Ramen Noodle Packs, 3 Oz Each (Pack of 24) by Chef Woo | Vegetarian Ramen Noodles | No Added MSG | Halal | Egg-Free and Dairy-Free Red - RAMEN EXPRESS Hot & Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen Cup Noodle, 2.25 Oz Each (Pack Of 12) | Animal-free Ramen Noodles | All Plant-based | Made in U.S. with finest American flour --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/237950884-ramen-express-ramen-noodle-packs-3-oz-each-pack-24](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/237950884-ramen-express-ramen-noodle-packs-3-oz-each-pack-24) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
