The price for 25 spools was perfect, so I ordered. I wasn't purchasing for my serger, but just my regular sewing machine, and wasn't expecting these to be tall cones, so the height of the spools was not a shock to me as other reviewers have stated. Opening the packaging and taking in the beautiful colors was the highlight of my day. The box they come in is perfect to store the spools, heavy duty and closes well. I've used the thread for about 6 projects so far and I'm satisfied with the results. Compared to the store brand smaller spools I've used, this thread is thicker (i definitely have to use a wire thread guide for even the larger eyed needles), and it's not as smooth. There is definitely lint, or fuzzy on the thread. It's noticeable as you're threading your machine, but I haven't noticed a difference in the finished product and that includes straight and fancy top stitching. It will take me a while to run out of thread, but I'll definitely be a repeat customer.UPDATE----I have been using this thread for nearly 2 months. I have found the thread to be of lower quality than first reported. There are places, in each color of used, where the thread has not wound tightly and has created large knots or nests that will not go through a needle or the bottom bobbin. It's very difficult to work with.
