Starbucks makes a sugar free cold coffee and there is a sugar free tea but 90% of the time you can't find them. These sticks are perfect, drop one into a bottle of water and off you go. The taste is nice but very faint--which I like. The last thing you need on a 12-hour driving shift is something strong and sweet--after a while, it makes your mouth taste like the bottom of a birdcage. Plain water, however, is perfect. (add) Recently, pureLyft has changed the sticks with a "pour" option which is nice. I still have to throw the block thing at the top away (I can't see it's purpose) and the Pour covers come open in the bag and the caffeine mix apparently sifts away because I can't find it. It is effective, the taste is good and the portability is great. The packaging is not perfected. I have received packages with open tubes. I brought a bunch of these, in the closed package, on a motorcycle trip and the vibration emptied every one of them without the caps actually coming off. I recently had these with me in my unairconditioned house and every single stick in the unopened package had absorbed too much moisture to come out. Yes, of course I got the product out but not as it was intended. I always dump these in whole and can't imagine using the stirring aspect of the packaging anyway. I would be very happy to see these in paper packets like sugar. Maybe it would even reduce the price some.
