Since my monitors only accept DVI or VGA I bought the accel DisplayPort-to-DVI adapters to be able to plug in the monitors. The are Active adapters since I wasn't sure if the passive adapters could relay the resolution of my Acer AL2216W monitors back to the display. Now running my bottom displays in all of their 5070 x 1060 glory using only one of the two mini displayport adapters from my card. The top three displays are running from other ports and are configurable with a bit of work through Eyefinity.I have a second unit on order so that I can run my top three monitors in a similar configuration and ditch the on-board graphics entirely. This should allow all six monitors to be run as a single 5070x2120 display or any combination therein. This unit was certainly cost less than my Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital edition and, because it is separate, allows me a future path in upgrading my video cards at a later date. Highly recommend!UPDATE 2014-04-21:I can confirm that a second unit works just fine with my PowerColor 7980 ATI Display Adapter! Note that this card only has two mini-displayport outputs so I was concerned am happy to report that I am now driving SIX (6) new Acer 24" LED monitors with the three outputs (each) provided by the two units! Works awesome with Battlefield3 and Flight Simulator X. Multi-monitor fans rejoice! Highly recommend - absolutely trouble-free operation! ### ⭐⭐ Mixed reviews - Hit or miss - 50/50 - Chances are, you... *by K***U on January 8, 2015* Does not like booting. The hub is plugged into an EVGA Geforce 780 Ti with latest drivers. I have two monitors plugged into the hub: ASUS PA249Q and PA248Q. Upon turning my PC on they quickly display that there is no displayport signal and go back to sleep. Hitting scan will wake them up only to tell me there is no signal and switch back sleeping. Sometimes one of the monitors will go through a loop of waking up and going back to sleep, until I turn the system off. Every time I want my monitors to work with this I have to use powerful wizardry (read: random luck) or plugging in an HDMI cable to one monitor, changing my display to HDMI, and then switching to displayport after a successful boot into windows. I bought this product because I believed it would aid me with dual-monitors running on displayport. Instead, is has only served to hinder the process.For anyone wondering: You can, in fact, run two monitors at 1920x1200 with this.Edit:As a follow-up to my original review, I did finally get this to work, with my two monitors, down to a science:1.) Keep PC off & unplug HUB from GFX2.) Unplug monitor #1 from HUB & plug #1 into GFX3.) Start the PC & wait until it boots into windows4.) Unplug monitor #1 & plug it back into the HUB4b.) press SCAN on the hub to make sure it recognizes the monitor order (sometimes it would mix #1 & #2!)5.) Plug HUB back into GFX & Ta-da! It works.I had to do this every time I started my PC! There was no other way to get my monitors to work with this hub unit, and it was so annoying I opted to leave my PC running just to get around it. However, roughly a week ago, this device appears to have stopped working appropriately; it no longer wishes to recognize that there is a second monitor. So, I've own this ~3 months, and it's been nothing but an annoyance and disappointment. I'm happy for those who got this to work flawlessly for them. Whatever you're running must be 100% compatible with this hub. ### ⭐ Don't bother with this unless you like configuring monitors every reboot *by O***D on January 2, 2016* Does not work, monitor configuration resets upon every reboot. I can't unplug my laptop, go sit outside, then come back to my desk and plug in without having to reconfigure all of my monitors. That makes this useless - I would spend less time plugging in 3 video cords (which my laptop supports) than configuring all 3 monitors again after it figures out there are actually 3 attached. Save your money and if you have DisplayPort 1.2 on your laptop, like mine, go with the Acer K272HUL bmiidp 27" monitor - it lets you daisy chain so I'm now running 3 monitors in extended desktop and I only have a single DisplayPort cable connected to my laptop.
