Very easy to install. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Must be perfect the first time or you're sunk *by S***G on Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2022* It is fairly flimsy and it will be interesting to see how it holds up over time. The worst part is the pins are one use only and bend very easily when trying to push them in. So if they don't all go in perfectly the first time without bending, you have to try to pull all of them out, which doesn't work without destroying them and you have a worthless hunk of aluminum. Since one of the pins immediately bent and would not go in, I had to try to pull them out. They all pulled away from the strip and broke trying to pull them out of the holes. I had to drill my own holes in the strip, countersink and find screws to use it, which defeats the purpose of having the mounting hidden beneath. I would not buy this again unless the pins were redesigned so they would not bend so easily. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good looking and can be easy to install *by S***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2013* I replaced all the gold transition strips in my condo with these. They look great and hide the nails. I have some trouble installing them though and they don't bend to well when transitioning from carpet to tile. The screw holes have to be near perfect for the plastic fasteners. If they are off and you don't hammer them in place just right then the fasteners will bend and ultimately break. Don't get me wrong, these transitions are great, just be careful when installing them. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/24338843-46131-1-1-2-in-x-36-in-satin-silver](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/24338843-46131-1-1-2-in-x-36-in-satin-silver) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
