It is compatible with the Vtech model CS6509. Works perfectly. It "registered" itself to my original phone docking station quickly. Red color is also very pretty! If you are looking for the model number of your original phone but don't have the owners manual on hand, I found mind by taking out the battery out and the model number was right there. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Functional and Stylish! The one feature I wish it had was a verbal caller ID. I had that on my last phone and it was great because I didn't have to pick up and look at the phone to see who was calling. That is especially helpful with all the telemarketing calls that come in despite being on the DO NOT CALL list. ### ⭐ Pretty good phone if you never need to make/receive a call *by D***Y on January 29, 2019* I bought this item as an add-on to a VTech phone system. It worked OK for a few days, then it stopped working completely - wouldn't receive nor make phone calls - there's no dial tone at all. Went on the manufacturer's web site where they gave some suggestions, and I followed them. The handset started working for a few more days then stopped again. Tried the troubleshooting steps again, and again it worked for a while. However, now the return period is up and the handset won't work at all.
