With practice, you can fully deploy the unit in less than 10 seconds. The door will structurally fail before this unit itself fails. It you have a solid wooden interior door with a steel or solid frame, this system will truly impress you if used correctly. The door will have to be broken in half before someone could get past it since this system supports the entire bottom area of the door. I researched and tested several types of portable locking units, but this is easily the best. It costs more than it's competition, but it also is many times better than anything else I've seen on the market. It's money well spent to protect your family or loved ones who may want extra piece of mind that may work in an office or classroom that want quick access to deploy on a door to reinforce it in an emergency. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very effective! *by R***A on February 19, 2020* My daughter is a 4th grade school teacher and my husband and I feel better that she has one.
