The kettle of course has a filter in the spout that you can release and clean and then replace it. I really like the look of it, it looks pretty sleek, I wouldn't say it seems as robust as the kettle it's replacing which is 15 years old but that one is much heavier; I would say this one feels a little more delicate I don't think you should bash it around too much but nevertheless that means it's lighter so I'm happy about that.
