Review: Higher flow rate oil filter works well with high volume oil pump. - Quality oil filter that has a higher flow rate than the standard FL1A filter. This helps when you run a high volume oil pump in your SBF. The case is also a bit thicker to prevent blowoff.
Review: Works great for my 1995 mustang 5.0l - Ordered this for my ‘95 mustang GT to put a seemingly better factory option for an oil filter. Looks to have better flow than the stock. I installed this and drove about 2-3 hours round trip in my car with no issues with leaks or anything. The seal looked good and did not feel dry. Went on the car no issue, definitely of oem ford quality. Great bang for buck I recommend to any Windsor v8 owner this works for.

A: ...yes...this filter can be used in place of an FL1A or FL1HP

**Q: Why is the gasket black instead of the usual blue?**
A: The black rubber gasket is the high performance racing gasket. Adds about 20 horsepower. Way better than the blue one

See if you can see the part number on your current filter and decide if this is a suitable replacement.  I’m using it on a Ford Racing 427 V8 .
