It has horsetail and that contains silica, a compound needed to build thick hair at the root. It has keratin which is a protein and reconstructor for the ends of your hair. It's moisturizing with the oils. And smoothing with panthenol. It has very minimal SLS. Which is why you have to shampoo twice because it doesn't have much of this chemical to make large suds bubbles. The ingredients list is very minimal.
