I have previously bought tv/furniture straps thinking they are all the same but i was completely wrong. The plastic ones I bought from Amazon will not hold anything and brake easily. I also looked at furniture straps in the store and the ones I found were cheaply made too. Linden Tree Baby's ant-tipping straps are much different. They actually have metal brackets. Also, the straps are much thicker and durable. They were relatively easy to put on but did require drilling a hole. They are very secure and offer a true sense of security. I used the screws that came with the tv. I drilled two small screw holes in the stand and connected the bottom of the straps. This will secure the tv from tipping forward. The back of the tv is pretty close to the wall. So I should be okay. Hopefully, it won't have to be tested. I live in earthquake country. The tv is very light weight.
