It took around 40 seconds to boot. The interface is cumbersome on a whole new level. I'm an IT professional by trade and it took all I had and a few hours of tinkering around in order to get logged into the Garmin/Kenwood update site only to find out that if you want to update the maps that you have to pay (from my recollection) around $50-60/yr for updates. And it showed up being two years out of date. The site requires you to have a plug-in which does not work on a 64-bit browser. Even when trying it on a 32-bit browser, the plug-in stated it was only compatible with Internet Exploder. The sound quality of the unit was awesome. EQ controls allowed you to make great adjustments. I was pleased with the built-in amp and quality of sound it had with my factory Infinity speaker system. Still not enough for me to want to keep it.
