Review: Quality is perfect, aesthetic is amazing! - The book style is so cute and aesthetic! I was worried the game itself wouldn’t be good quality since the box is the selling point but the game is awesome too! The board and cards have a vintage worn look to them which is really cute. Great quality, and I love that all the pieces have a spot in the box! You are paying a little more than you would for a regular board game but so worth the money to get this super fun box and vintage style game!
Review: Beautiful board game. - These board games are so cute! We own an Airbnb/VRBO rental and, while guests appreciate having board games available, I don't like the junky look of stacked board games, so I had all of our games hidden in drawers, out of sight from our guests. When I discovered these bookshelf board games, with the ability to store them in plain sight without detracting from the decor, I had to order them. While they seem a little pricey at first, the quality is sound, and I believe that we will get a great return on our investment, as guests will have a fun activity to enjoy in the home.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Some reviews seem to indicate less monopoly money than desired. just how much monopoly money is included with this?**
A: Hi there! Thank you for your question.

This version comes with a standard Monopoly money pack just like any other version of Monopoly. Running out of paper Monopoly money is addressed in the rules. Depending on the number of players and their play style, running out of paper Monopoly money is a real possibility (for all editions of Monopoly). This bothers some players quite a bit. So much so that they buy extra Monopoly money packs, which are available here on Amazon and elsewhere.

As a refresher, one player does take on the role of the banker. That player is tasked with keeping track of finance-related items. If the style of play of a game leads to running out of paper Monopoly money, the banker should find a way to keep track of things or simply create new Monopoly money with slips of paper. Alternatively, if you find yourself doing this often, you can buy additional Monopoly money to address that issue.

Hope that helps.

**Q: Is this the British or American version?**
A: I bought the American version of Monopoly

**Q: Based on the most recent reviews this seems like a bad time to purchase this since there's a good chance it will be red. How do i not get red?**
A: Our version is grey, as pictured, not red.

**Q: Does this come with the instructions?**
A: Hi there! Thank you for your question.

In short, yes, instructions are included.

I'm sorry that the current listing for this item is a tad incomplete. We'll work with Amazon to get it improved. In the meantime, here is a complete and comprehensive list of what you get:

CONTENTS: The game box is a fabric-wrapped book with integrated storage. A themed slipcase covers and protects the game box. Inside you'll find a vintage game board with graphics inspired by the 1935 edition and the following accessories: 32 Green Wooden Houses, 12 Red Wooden Hotels, Vintage Chance, Community Chest, and Title Deed Cards, Monopoly Money, Removable Bankers tray, 2 Ivory-Colored Dice, and instructions. Eight classic pewter player pieces (tokens) are included: Battleship, Boot, Cannon, Horse and Rider, Iron, Race Car, Scottie Dog, Thimble, Top Hat

Hope that helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Because Who Doesn’t Want to Monetize Their Living Room Decor?
*by D***T on September 18, 2025*

Ah, the WS Game Company Monopoly Vintage Bookshelf Edition — finally, a way to show off your ruthless capitalism and your impeccable taste in home decor. Because nothing says “I’m a sophisticated adult” like a game that’s basically legalized family feuding disguised as real estate investing. The vintage bookshelf look? Chef’s kiss. It’s like your grandma’s dusty old novels got a makeover and decided to throw down with Boardwalk. It looks so classy you’ll almost forget that the entire point is to bankrupt your loved ones in the most passive-aggressive way possible. And let’s be honest, this edition is perfect for when you want guests to think you’re a well-read intellectual instead of the person who will gleefully trade their last property just to spite you. It’s cute, it’s chic, and it doubles as a conversation starter — “Oh, that? It’s just my Monopoly game pretending to be literature.” If you enjoy long hours of awkward negotiations, intense family drama, and flipping the board when things get too real, this edition’s for you. Plus, it’s a subtle flex: “Look at me, I’m classy AND I’ll crush you in real estate.” In conclusion? A stunning addition to your shelf and your passive-aggressive game nights. Monopoly has never looked so dangerously sophisticated.
