Very attractive, detailed, accurate and perfect size !  The wooden case is finished nicely and the clock components are likely plastic but would fool even the most discriminating.  Instructions were clear to us except the "counterclockwise warning" which seemed to be confusing as later in the manual it says to turn counterclockwise.....hands versus wheel needs better clarification.  We bought two, one clock's pendulum would not work and we returned for an exchange.Still we are glad we bought the clocks !  great value and looks !!
