They are great for pickup trucks when working on the engine. You can reach all the way to the firewall without laying on the vehicle and breaking something. As far as working on larger trucks I'm not sure how that would work since the hoods tilt forward. I can tell you it's very well made and the weight limit is 400 pounds .
