As far as plastic is concerned, I don't think it would hurt or discolor the plastic but that's not what it is designed for. It is made for waxing a car's painted surface. They make other products formulated for vinyl, plastic, rubber, leather etc. . I bought the Mother's Protectant for that purpose. **Q: Does this spray wax stain the rubber/plastic trim?
