Review: Love this pizza oven! - I decided on this oven after reading all the reviews on this and competing models. I liked the following: - cooking surface size - ability to use propane tanks or portable tanks - low price I was concerned about: - durability of the control button The oven comes mostly assembled, you just need to reposition the burner cover, insert the stone, screw in the front panel, attach the thermometer, the regulator and hose; and finally the handle of the oven door. Connect to your propane bottle and you're good to go -- takes no more than five minutes. I think I understand why some people have problems with the control button: it combines gas control, safety shut-off and piezo igniter. You need to turn it to the on position, wait as you hear the gas coming in, and then turn a little further to trigger the igniter -- and keep the button pushed until all three burners light up. If they don't, the gas gets shut off (it's a safety feature). Took me a few attempts to figure out how it works. Even on a fairly chilly evening (50F) the oven reached 530F in just a few minutes; pizza cooks in under four minutes and comes out absolutely gorgeous. I have used it four times so far and every time we comment on how wonderful this inexpensive oven is. Don't forget to buy a pizza peel, an infrared thermometer and a cleaning brush for the stone; and use semolina flour liberally to prevent sticking on the peel or the stone. Highly recommended! Update -- the oven is 7 months old and I had a problem with the knob being very hard to turn. I called the support line and got a rep right away who patiently walked me through troubleshooting, and they are mailing me replacement parts free of charge. I wish I could add an extra star for exceptional customer service. Great product, great company! Update - a couple of years later and I *LOVE* this oven! It took me a while but my pizzas are now really good and friends always ask for them. This little oven may be inexpensive, but it works very well and is durable -- and the manufacturer really stands behind its product. I couldn't recommend this more.
Review: Seems to heat up fast, room for two smaller pizzas and other items. - Update as of August 18....... Started getting yellow flame and Soot, I disconnected the hose and regulator, I tried different tanks, I looked st how to adjust air flow but there isn’t a way to do it. I’m sure the regulator is faulty, not impressed after only one month of use. Emailed camp chef to ask for a regulator replacement, let’s see what happens it’s only been a day......will update. Quickly put it together, it was late at knight but managed to knock out two pizzas, first was a bit over done at bottom. For the second One I lowered the heat and it was much better. Need a bit of time to get to know the over. Love the size and opening, pizza is not the only thing that this oven can make. Oven looks good, easy to put together we’ll see over time how well it’s made but so far so good.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How wide is the actual oven. It says 31" in the product description but that's really large if it only cooks a 12" pizza. Are those box dimensions?**
A: You are right. The dimensions given are outside packaging dimensions, no the actual products OD. The products OD are 25 3/4w x 14 3/4d x 15"h approx. The stone is 20 x 13. When they say this item can reach 750/800 degrees in 15 minutes they ain't lying. I make perfectly done pizza in 3minutes or less. Read the start up institute tions very carefully as the stone is very fragile and susceptible to cracking from changing temps to fast. A week ago I ordered another one to gift to my brother in Michigan and was put on a waiting list. Good luck

**Q: I have uses my pizza over twice and both times the pizzas are black and burnt on the bottom even after turning down the heat the second use. ideas??**
A: You must understand that regular flour isn't meant for high heat cooking. Even those pizza's that you purchase from the store are not meant for heat over more than 425'/450'. If you are going to make your own pizza and plan to cook them at high temp like the pro's do in the restaurants then you are going to need to make your dough with professional Italian 00 (Italian Double Zero) flour. It is designed for HIGH HEAT cooking ( temp between 600-850' even higher) for very short periods of time. Your crust will be super crusty, not burnt. True italian pizza. IT is all about the flour! Remember....Double Zero flour!

**Q: Will this oven get to temp in below zero temperatures?**
A: Have to agree with those who say "it will NOT". Used it twice and both times 500F was as high as it would get (with door closed, 75F ambient, very light wind both days, and opening door dropped to 450F or so and could not even recover 500 during the cook.)
Promo heralded 700F but no way I could coax it to go above 500.
At 450-500 10" Neopolitan took almost 10 mins.
It worked, BUT, our "home" oven will do 500F - a Pizza Oven must reach 600-700 or what's the use? It did, however, cook a good pizza - just not what we expected.
We decided to return and spend a little more on the Roccbox.
Amazon was great about the return after a little bit of confusion on the "return" status initially.

**Q: Is there a special type of table needed to put this on? I am afraid it might melt on a plastic type table.**
A: I purchased a small, inexpensive stainless steel cart from a cooking supply store. I placed two 18'x18" ceramic floor tiles (that I got at Home Depot for a few bucks each) under the oven. The nice thing about the cart is the lower shelf for the propane tank and the fact that it has wheels. It's now mobile and I can wheel it right next to my patio slider and access it from inside the kitchen. Works great!! Be advised that if you use a 5 gallon propane tank instead of the canister, you need to make sure they send you the right hose or you'll get a low flame condition that won't heat the oven properly. Aside from that, this is a great oven and the pizzas are delicious!
