So PLEASE only use a brand new blade and #10 (or 15 if extremely matted) would be better than #7! **Q: Do you still have to oil ceramic blades????** A: yes and clean them with a brush too. makes them wear a little better. I love it soooooo much. I can’t even express how much I love this thing. First of all, if you are debating between buying another blade vs using the plastic guards for longer hair lengths, TRUST me, the blade is better. I procrastinated buying a blade for longer lengths for years and I regret it.I have a Goldendoodle with thick but fine hair (not coarse like a poodle, it’s much softer and flops) and so cutting his hair can be obnoxious, especially if I want to keep length on. Trying to keep length with a plastic guard is nearly impossible. With the 3 3/4 fc blade, however, I get a beautiful 1/2 inch with almost no effort. The blade cuts through his hair effortlessly and saves my back since I don’t have to spend as much time grooming! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by on Reviewed in Canada 2 March 2018* Great blade and I Had some difficulty snapping into place. Initially it wouldn’t snap down into place. This was due to the position of the tab on the clipper that was positioned off to the side and not in the center position. I just turned my clipper on and off until the table stopped in the center and then the blade snapped shut easily.
