In other words, do you use it instead of pouring medium and it seals itself?** A: You can use it as pouring medium or mix it with pouring medium. GAC has its own properties and is a great addition to your art supplies. It does dry nicely and as it cures it does seal itself but if you want it super shiny you may need to varnish/glaze etc. **Q: What is the difference between Golden 800 and golden pouring medium?** A: GAC800 is a pouring medium. But for the most indepth descriptions of all of goldens mediums, go to their website. They have detailed videos and written instructions on how to use their mediums. What ratios of pigment to use and how to mix pigments with GAC mediums to get the best results. I use GAC800 and Golden's liquid acrylics. The results I get are beautiful. And since GAC800 seals itself, there is no need to varnish. **Q: Has any one used this with liquitex pouring medium?** A: The original question Liquitex, yes it can. As they call it I use a healthy squirt with 50% Liquitex 50% US flortoel and a healthy squirt of Golden GAC 800.
