Will this tool help me fix that?”** A: Probably will not help with that. I suggest that you move the strike plate as needed. You will have to chisel out the notch in the door frame, and reset the screw holes that hold the latch. Using tooth picks driven into the old screw holes may help reset screw position. **Q: How is this differen from the a99dlk4 door latch installation device?** A: This is only for the latch. The other can do the door knob/lock. **Q: What is the difference between basic and original besides cost** A: Orginal handles better..not the handle!!! Much better striking control for lockset. **Q: Does this work on the door frame as well? For the part the lock latches into? If not, what will?** A: which allows you to install either round or square latches. A guide post found within the blade helps to locate the latch bore. yes you can use it. Thank you for your question, we are here to help you. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ryobi A99LM2 Door Latch Installation Kit for Accurate Chiseling and Scoring - Ryobi A99DLK4 Wood and Metal Door Lock Installation Kit for Installing Deadbolts and Locksets - Ryobi A99HT3 Door Hinge Installation Kit/Mortiser Template --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/25411557-ryobi-a99lm2-door-latch-installation-kit-for-accurate-chiseling-scoring](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/25411557-ryobi-a99lm2-door-latch-installation-kit-for-accurate-chiseling-scoring) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
