**Q: Where is it made?**
A: Hi Andrew, 
The silica was produced in Thailand, the non-toxic reflective edging is produced in Taiwan, the food-safe silicone is produced in China and the entire product was sewn and assembled in China.  From your previous reviews, it looks like you are interested in where things come from, so we wanted to be as specific as possible.  Thanks for your question.

**Q: Is this waterproof?**
A: It is coated with a waterproof, high temp silicone.  It is very, very water-resistant.  However, if submerged in water for longer than an hour, the reflective edges will absorb water.  For this fact, we can not call this "waterproof"  If used normally, it will not absorb water, rot or mildew.  Thanks for your question.

**Q: Is this suitable for a composite deck?**
A: Yes, we tested on a composite deck.  The composite we tested on was the brand Trex.  Please be aware, your fire must be at least 10" off the composite deck to not allow heat transfer to damage your deck.  This is designed to stop popping embers leaving your fire.  It does work to mitigate some of the heat, but it won't stop the massive radiant heat that is too close to your deck.  Most wood campfires burn around 1700F.  Let us know if you have more questions.     Great protection on pavers

I have new pavers in my backyard and wanted to protect them from damage while I use my offset smoker and Big Green Eggs. I needed a product to stay flat, could take some burning embers and ash, not absorb grease, folded well for storing, and  is easy to clean. This mat absolutely covers all of this criteria. I now have several of them and create a six foot perimeter around the smokers and working tables. After several cooks, not one paver has been burned, greased, or damaged. I am very impressed with these mats.  I am a verified buyer, not a writer.

地獄の業火レベルでは焚き火してませんが芝生へのダメージはなさげ。ちなみに焚き火台はスノピ社のスタンダードなヤツ。火の付いた薪の塊が落ちればシートは焦げる。気付くのに遅れると多分穴が空く。綺麗な状態で使用は出来ない代物です。日本人でウッドデッキで焚き火なさる人は極稀だと思うけど背の高い焚き火台ならこのシートでもいいんじゃない？　地面ギリギリの焚き火台で地獄の業火レベルの火を焚くってことはしない。たかだかペラペラのシートにそんなの求めちゃいかんよね。私は芝生へのダメージ軽減と焚き火台の灰の後始末が楽になればと思ってこのシートを買いました。おかげで、灰の処理は楽チン芝生も守れて良かった。
