Featuring stunning artwork by Iris Compiet and enriched with expanded content from its original Kickstarter success, this edition offers a beautifully crafted journey into faerie lore, endorsed by renowned fantasy artists and beloved by readers seeking to reignite their sense of wonder. ## Description Iris Compiet is the rarest of artist: That who invokes a complete and cohesive reality with every image she creates. Beautiful, powerful and contemplative all at once. ― Guillermo Del Toro Let me tell you about Faeries, let me take you away on a journey, an adventure. The Faultlines is an ancient name given to those places where the veil between this world and the Other is thinnest. It is the place where faeries dwell, creatures creep, and magic oozes through the cracks. Recently the Faultlines have been stirring, opening up to all who wish to see, and to all who dare to venture... Faeries of the Faultlines was an instant Kickstarter success in 2017, and this edited, expanded edition includes the complete original documentation from the greenmen to mermaids, with expanded sections and many more faeries to meet! “Iris Compiet’s work is an astonishing and masterful revelation of the Faery Realms. She is an artist who, with stunning alacrity, reveals the fleeting personalities of the normally unseen.” —Brian Froud “Iris summons and draws upon the forces that are necessary in giving life to such creatures—imagination, an intelligent curiosity, and a relentless energy. The Faeries are lucky to have her!" —Alan Lee "I have known Iris for many years. I have watched her find her voice. I am enchanted by her vision." —John Howe Review: Amazing book - Beautiful illustrations Review: So full of heart tickling artistry - What is there not to like. Read through the stories and remember all you now realise you forgot. It brought out the child in me. I have had my doubts as an adult but as a child it was the most interesting subject to route out. My brother would tell me many more Faerie stories most bedtimes too. As an adult, i take my Grandchildren to these magical places and teach them how to look after our earth. Flora and fauna. How to find the fae, the green man, mushrooms and faerie rings then onto our beautifull, outdoor England to the forest to find the many faces in the trees. They dont ever doubt me but of late i doubted myself until i saw this book!!! I think its bold to say but i truely believe in all the magic in the world that turns out good. As without that magic, we would all forget to be ourselves. Im so happy to find this lovely ladies art and her many refreshing words. Its all there, written so as all you adults that got too serious can find joy once again in the great outdoors. Thank you Iris for bringing attention to the faultlines. ## Features - Pages Count - 176. So beautiful, well made and brings you into the fairy world through the eyes of an amazing artist. It took some time and a lot of trouble to finally get this book in my hands but had to do with Amazon not the artist. Well worth the months long wait. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/255365397-faeries-of-the-faultlines-expanded-edited-edition](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/255365397-faeries-of-the-faultlines-expanded-edited-edition) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
