Review: Very sturdy and well built. Super easy to clean and easy to figure out even if you don’t read the instructions. It’s simple. It does take a bit of arm strength, so some may find that part “hard” but you can turn it around and face it the other way to use your opposite arm and give the right arm a break. It’s gets more juice out in less time than the elective citrus juicer I have. Review: This juicer is so well designed and built you will love squeezing juice. When you press the orange or whatever, the top of the squeezer comes down and there is absolutely no instability as you apply the pressure. It does an excellent job of getting all the juice and really does not let any pulp in. So for you pulp lovers that may be a problem. Although, you could probably rub some off of the stainless steel corer. There is a very handy catchall that easily swings in and out of way, below the squeezer, so you do not get drips on counter between squeezes. The parts that come in contact with what is being squeezed and the drip catchall are easily washed in sink or could be put in dishwasher. The rest can be wiped down with sponge, but in reality, it really has not required that. This is definitely a restaurant grade device and built and priced for that. However, I splurged and got it for home. Yes, it is now made in China, but the build is very, very good. It is tall, so you will have to find a suitable place to store, which again I am glad to do in order to have it. The cup is stainless steel and mine has stood up to countless dishwasher cycles looking just as good as new, which would not happen with aluminum. It is NOT screwed in, but is secured by a couple of notches, so you twist slightly and they come apart. The parts it sits on are all plastic and fortunately don't stay very long in contact with the juice as it goes through. **Q: is it americian made** A: As I recall, this was originally a German design, and during much of the last century, this model was US-made (my older unit has "Made In USA" proudly stamped on the metal badge on the front).If manufacturing has shifted to China, I would not be too concerned... the design is elegant and sturdy, and HB continues to market this as part of their Commercial line (with pricing to match).
