Review: Un peu petit - J'ai été étonnée de la grandeur, j'aurais dû prendre la taille au dessus, mais il est parfait pour mettre en dessous d'un évier. Pour la solidité, on verra avec l'usage. Review: Hardworking Compost Caddy - I have had this compost caddy for roughly 3-4 months and it has worked great. It takes us about 10 days to fill it up completely before I take it to the compost bin. The handle and square opening makes it easy to dump. The handle seems a little flimsy and I worry that I might break it, but so far I have not been gentle with it - and it hasn't broke. After I dump it, I clean it well with soapy water and it looks good as new. There have been no smells and the lid fits well so I haven't had problems with those tiny flies. I keep the bin on the floor by a doorway and the handle makes it easy to grab and put on the counter or in the sink where I am working. Even with it being on the floor, my dogs haven't messed with it so that's a pretty good sign that the filter works. This is not a "pretty" composter - one that I would want to keep on the counter, but it is a hard working one. And, it's large enough to keep me from running out to the composter every other day. I'm very pleased with this purchase. ## Features - Made from recycled plastic - Lid comes with a replaceable carbon filter - Holds 2. 3 gallons - 13 in. High x 8 in. Across x 6 ½ in. Wide - Perfect for composting vegetable & fruit peelings, egg shells, tea leaves, coffee grounds, cut flowers and more! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000TAU7VS | | Best Sellers Rank | #160,120 in Home ( See Top 100 in Home ) #98 in Indoor Compost Bins | | Brand | Bosmere | | Brand Name | Bosmere | | Capacity | 2.3 Gallons | | Color | Green | | Colour | Green | | Country of Publication | United Kingdom | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 266 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05031670002396 | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 20.3L x 16.5W x 33H centimeters | | Item Type Name | Compost Caddy | | Item Weight | 680 g | | Manufacturer | Tierra-Derco | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Product dimensions | 20.3L x 16.5W x 33H centimeters | | Shape | Rectangular | | UPC | 031670002391 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Material:** Plastic - **Colour:** Green - **Brand:** Bosmere - **Capacity:** 2.3 Gallons - **Product dimensions:** 20.3L x 16.5W x 33H centimeters ## Images ![Tierra Garden GP98 Odour Free Compost for - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51qhmgKwf6L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this keep Fruit flies away and out of the kitchen?** A: Love mine, but No. Most of the fruit flies are already hatching in the fruit scraps you put in there. Leave a small cup with vinegar on the counter to catch your fruit flies and take your compost out to your outdoor bin regularly. **Q: What are the measurements?** A: 12 1/2 H , 8 W,6D **Q: how many gal/liters?** A: From the product description- "2.5 gallon capacity to save you trips to the composter!" **Q: Are there slots for screw heads to slide in on the back, or other way to hang it? Also, can the filters be composted!?** A: There are no slots for screw heads in order to hang it. I suppose you could hang it by the handle. I'm not sure about composting the filters. They feel very much like plastic to me.
