So if you are going to be exposed it is recommended to use sunscreen and reapply throughout the day if you're going to be getting sun exposure for long periods of time. **Q: how long should you leave it on your face for it to work ?** A: You just swipe the pad across your face. No rinsing. **Q: Is this an exfoliator?** A: Yes, it is. Its active ingredient is salicylic acid, which is a beta hydroxy acid. Beta hydroxy acids are chemical exfoliators. **Q: Do you guys rinse your face off after applying the pads to your face or do you let it dry off since I noticed it dries really quick? What's best?** A: To let the product work to its maximum benefit you should cleanse before use. The purpose of these Salicylic acid pads is not to remove makeup but to act as a chemical exfoliate. For best use, cleanse face with a mild foaming face wash, pat dry, wipe on Stridex pad and let dry. wait 5-10 minutes before using your Vitamin-C serum or moisturizer to really let the salicylic acid soak in. And since I use it daily as an exfoliator on my face, acne will never darken my door again either. I've kept the lines and wrinkles on my face and neck at bay, and my skin looks younger than it did a decade ago. Don't go spending your money on expensive BHA (beta-hydroxy acid) exfoliant serums. The active ingredient in StriDex is a BHA called Salicylic Acid. Because it has the ability to penetrate into the pore lining and exfoliate inside the pore as well as on the surface of skin, it is especially effective for reducing acne breakouts, including blackheads and whiteheads. StriDex also has soothing properties to calm aggravated skin, can help minimize the appearance of an uneven skin tone and wrinkles, and has hydrating abilities that can result in smoother skin. I can use this on my face, neck, hands & arms, legs & feet in winter to keep them smooth. Don't spend good money on the fancy names out there. Order StriDex in this three pack and try it yourself. A single little pads will do your face and neck. I use it in the mornings after I wash and prior to my moisturizer and make-up application. Then once more in the evening after I wash off my make-up and prior to moisturizing for bedtime.
