The built-in non-electric permeate pump will reduce water waste while increasing water production. What makes the Home Master Artesian Full Contact with Permeate Pump a smarter choice? Clean, great-tasting water; modular filter design; better water efficiency; easy-to-change filters; and a faster flow rate. Home Master components included in the design and construction of this product meet or exceed NSF standards for material safety and water purification performance. This package contains a fully assembled purification unit that includes the RO membrane and filters, storage tank, 3/8-inch feed-water adapter with shut off valve, chrome RO faucet, RO adapter, drain saddle, and instructions. Review: A little back story... We used to live in Western NC, in the Asheville area. Our home had its own private well, fed by a natural spring that came down the mountain. The water was sweet... delicious... had body and substance... and was always a pleasure to drink. We couldn't find any better. Couple years back, we moved from NC to Northwestern Ohio, where we found ourselves on Municipal water fed by Lake Erie. On a good day, the water tasted foul by comparison. Enter "Toxic Algae Blooms" on Lake Erie. A certain bottled water corporation (as well as other companies) was siphoning water at such an alarming rate, it lowered the water table, and the Toxic Algae Blooms became very problematic. So, not only did the water taste foul, it tasted like "pool water", trying to combat the algae. You could pour a glass, set it out overnight, and you would see particulate separation. Ew. Disgusting. Gross. SO..... ever since we've lived here, we purchased Filtered Water at the self-serve stations at our local supermarkets. The Filtered water... although it was clean, it was flat. Virtually flavorless. It was "dead water". It tasted like "air". Though it was safe to drink, it offered no real benefit outside of being a "liquid". It was the best we could get at an affordable price, while keeping up with sustainability in plastic reduction. We had a small army of 5 Gallon PBA free bottles, that are recyclable. SO.... it was time to bite the bullet, and purchase a Reverse Osmosis kit for the house. After reading pages and pages of reviews (which are all subjective, always consider the source), and watching YouTube reviews and comparisons... I decided on the Home Master TMAFC-ERP Artesian Full Contact Undersink Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System. It arrived in a neat, well packed box, bagged and tagged. After snipping all the zip-ties, the Flying Spaghetti Monster lay on the floor at my feet. I was a bit intimidated. Everyone and their mother says to "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST"... so I did. Let's see.... hmmm..... Three brackets.... four connections.... snap it in.... done. 30 minute installation, and I was taking my time. The longest part of the whole operation was performing the Fill/Drain/Purge procedure to get everything working correctly. Now, that first glass of water. To sum it up in one word: Bliss. It tasted EXTREMELY close to that natural spring-fed water we used to have. It has body... it has weight... it feels like you are actually drinking something besides "liquid air". The flavor has a bit of sweetness to it, with a bit of an aftertaste that is "mineral-esque". Very pleasant. Now, just because something is "new", doesn't necessarily mean it's "perfect". Sometimes things can go wrong during manufacturing, that can go un-noticed during QC. I had questions... I called their Customer Service to ask if something was a "characteristic", or a potential issue, since I don't have a reference or a baseline. I noted there was a small leak at one of the fittings of the "Shut-Off Valve" as well. INSTANTLY, they directed me in a shut-down procedure, remove this pipe, connect to that, pull this, stick that, twist this around... and VIOLA!!! The Shut-Off valve was removed, and operating perfectly without it. They said they will send me a new one. later THAT DAY, I receive an email about shipping notification. The new part arrived, with some extra goodies to say "sorry for the inconvenience", and instructions on installation. Back in business in less than 5 minutes. DONE!! The system is working FLAWLESSLY, producing some might fine water, and I am extremely happy I went with this choice... Outstanding product, outstanding Customer Service, outstanding Warranty... You can't go wrong with this setup. ALSO.... given the fact these modular filters are literally "Plug 'n' Play", installing this unit in tight, under-counter spaces makes filter changing that much easier, as opposed to the standard "screw-on" type, and the tools needed (like the spanner) to do the removal... Once the system is de-pressurized, disconnecting the hoses only gave me a dribble, not a spillage. Consider that as part of your decision making.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the country of origin? Who does the quality control? Is it an independent company? How do we know it is doing what it says?**
A: The company that makes the Tap Master Artesian is The Perfect Water out of Arizona. It is an independent company and they do their own quality control. We moved from an urban area to a rural one in the past year, and I did a lot of research to determine what we would need for this house (we did a substantial renovation of this property). We have been using the system for over a year now, and I have been very pleased. Our plumber told us this was one of the best RO systems around. There was a very noticeable difference in the taste and smell of the water after we installed the system. I just ordered the replacement filters and will have them installed. If you get this system, be sure to order the permeate pump as it helps to fill the under sink tank quicker when you are using a lot of water (like for a big pot of pasta). You can learn more by going to their site, www.theperfectwater.com. I would recommend this company and this system. I hope this helps answer your questions.

**Q: what does this offer over the apec 6 stage model with remineraliztion? why did you choose this model over the apec?**
A: Modular design vs. canister design. Made in the USA vs assembled ("Built") somewhere using Chinese parts.Patented Full Contact remineralization vs an extra filter plugged in at the end.8" of catalytic carbon contact pre-filtration to remove chloramines and maintain high pressure vs. 2 - 1/4" carbon block to draw down water pressure ahead of the membrane which reduces real world production and increases actual waste and doesn't treat chloramines.5 year warranty vs. 1 year warranty.

**Q: Do the filters last a full year? What is the annual cost for this unit (for maintenance and filter replacement)?**
A: The annual filter change set is $79.95 (Iset-tma) and the membrane is $56.00 which should be changed every 3-5 years depending on water conditions. Most users on municipal water supplies can expect this maintenance schedule.

**Q: What kind of material is in contact with water inside the storage tank?**
A: I believe a rubber diaphragm that is rated for purified water so to not have any chemicals leaching into the filtered water.
