Had to return. TOO BAD!! Really really like it. Would've have been perfect if we had a little more space. The only negative is that the adjustments don't allow you to adjust LOW enough for a short person like my mom (5'1") Her feet dangle above the floor so need to be careful til she is IN the tub area. When you put it together, you determine which way the seat faces which is what determines whether it is left or right sided. **Q: What is the clearance measurement under bench? I have a tall tub and I want to be sure this is tall enough.** A: I measured as best I could with legs in highest position. The clearance below the lowest point (the sliders on the seat that connect it to the frame sit lowest) is about 19 1/2. I'd say you probably want the tub height to be below 19"...maybe 19 1/4. Hope that helps! **Q: how does one get into bathtub from seated position.** A: The part that has the seat and back is the part that hangs over the bathtub. You sit on the seat and slide over into the tub. You have to swing your legs into the tub or lift the patient's legs into the tub.
