How long is it?** A: It is square and rigid and pivots from the down to the up position. It is less than 1/2" long-maybe only 1/4"? It is a miniature of the type of opening the Breck shampoo bottles used to have in the 1980's if you are old enough to remember. **Q: Is this good for older sewing machines? I have a 1960 model. I am assuming it should be fine. These older ones are made to last.** A: I've used it on a 1900 Singer treadle machine and a 1950 featherweight and it's worked fine **Q: What is the expiration date of the oil? I've checked other places locally, and the oil is expired at every store ( I.e. Craft and big box)** A: My bottle doesn't have an expiration date. My mom has a bottle from 40 years ago that she still uses on her sewing machine and it works fine. I can't see where an expiration would be of any concern. **Q: can you use wahl clipper oil** A: It is probably light machine oil, like the Singer Machine oil, but I invested a couple of hundred dollars in my wife's machine, what is $6, just to be safe? ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good quality *by W***L on 28 May 2024* thanks ### ⭐⭐ Good but pricey *by A***R on 11 August 2023* Good but pricey ### ⭐⭐⭐ ممتاز *by M***I on 2 December 2020* جيد ## Frequently Bought Together - Singer Machine Oil-4Oz - Singer 2 Packs Leather and Fabric Needles Kit (826R + 832R) 2026 and 2032 130/705 H-J and H-LL (Universal, Flat on One Side) - Singer Company 30-Pack Universal Sewing Machine Needles for Cotton, Thickness 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and 110 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/256992463-singer-2131e-all-purpose-machine-oil-4-fluid-ounces](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/256992463-singer-2131e-all-purpose-machine-oil-4-fluid-ounces) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
