The first tin I had smelled wonderfully of coconut, but the second tin smelled more like cardboard with a hint of coconut.This applies much more like a wax than a pomade and is very far from gel.IT STAYS IN YOUR HAIR. This may be a disadvantage to many, or like me, an advantage. It'll take you three days and at least three showers to get this stuff completely out of your hair. The nice thing about it is that I wouldn't have to put in as much the next morning, but the bad thing was that my pillow got greasy. Some have said you can run your fingers through your hair without getting it on your fingers, this is A LIE. It definitely comes off onto fingers. It's not a lot, but certainly noticeably, like I had just put on lotion. I always felt the need to wash my hands afterwards. As you can tell by my language, I don't use this product anymore; I ran out recently and am trying other pomades.One tin would last a long time since a little went a long way, I mean a looong way.I had to put a ton of water in my hair with the product to actually get it in.Like others have said, the hold is moderate; it is NOT strong. I liked the flow of it, and if you use enough, it will hold short to short/medium hair up or down fairly well.This product may be worth trying for you, but it is far from perfect.I give it 4/5 stars because I enjoyed it, (entirely my opinion), but based on my comments it probably deserves more like a 2/5 or 3/5. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This pomade comes in a nice tin and had a black piece of electrical tape *by T***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2015* This was only my 2nd experience with an oil based pomade. My 1st was with Murray's pomade, because it was cheap, and in stores... But Murray's left my hair feeling very greasy to the touch. This pomade comes in a nice tin and had a black piece of electrical tape, sealing the container shut. The pomade is a little difficult to get out, but after rubbing it with it your finger, it comes out somewhat easy.This product is thick and feels waxy more than greasy. The hold is pretty good, but not as strong as I thought it would be, since it claims to be a heavy hold. This pomade is nice, because it doesn't leave a greasy feeling once it's in. I can run my fingers through my hair and there isn't any residue left on my hands. This is a good pomade, and worth checking out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Traditional style pomade *by I***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2014* I really like this product. It is really heavy and think. You need to soften it with a blowdryer while in the can and rub it good with your hands before putting in your hair. Also, it helps to keep a hot blow dryer on your hair while styling to keep it pliable, but it's definitely manageable.It's not too greasy like Murray's or Royal Crown, and doesn't melt down into your eyes when it starts getting hot.
