Review: Replaces pump for older Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB - I used this pump to replace the pump that failed on my 8-10 year old Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB skimmer. As noted by another reviewer this pump will not work with the venturi elbow on the original skimmer. You must purchase the BH2000 Upgrade Venturi Elbow for AQ2000 S Pump (SKU: ROP-OTPAQ2000-KIT) from CoralVue. With this pump and the kit my skimmer is good as new. Review: Works Great - This pump is easy to replace and works well. Expensive but lasts for many years. ## Features - Aqua trance 2000s pinwheel pump - Max flow: 198gph - Power consumption: 18watts ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00VLQFB0Q | | Best Sellers Rank | #106,822 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #396 in Aquarium Water Pumps | | Brand | Reef Octopus | | Brand Name | Reef Octopus | | Color | Grey | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 94 Reviews | | Flow Rate | 198 gpm | | Global Trade Identification Number | 06950291250131 | | Horsepower | 0.02 hp | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 5.3"L x 2.8"W x 5.7"H | | Manufacturer | Reef Octopus | | Manufacturer Part Number | AQ-2000S | | Material | Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | AQ-2000S | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Power Source | AC adapter | | Product Dimensions | 5.3"L x 2.8"W x 5.7"H | | Product Style | Diaphragm | | Style | Diaphragm | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Reef Octopus - **Color:** Grey - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 06950291250131 - **Horsepower:** 0.02 hp - **Material:** Stainless Steel - **Maximum Flow Rate:** 198 gpm - **Number of Packs:** 1 - **Power Source:** AC adapter - **Product Dimensions:** 5.3"L x 2.8"W x 5.7"H - **Style:** Diaphragm ## Images ![Reef Octopus Aquatrance 2000S Skimmer Pump - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61YeLPqeg0L.jpg) ![Reef Octopus Aquatrance 2000S Skimmer Pump - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61o6qZnqUXL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: I have a reef octopus hob bh2000 is this the right replacment pump for it? Hope this helps **Q: My reef octopus calcium reactor has an otp 2000 pump that has died. Will this pump work** A: Not sure if it will work with reactor. I bought mine for the reef Octopus skimmer , to replace pump the failed. Probably same fittings or can be adapted. Hope this helps, Ed **Q: I have about an inch of water in my basement the plumber said I needed a skimmer pump. Will this one work?** A: it will work if its installed in a sump but wont suck the water off the floor. **Q: Will this be a direct replacement for a reef octopus 150 skimmer** A: As far as I can tell, yes, it is...BTW, if you have the bucks and want a skimmer that actually skims, get a NYOS...I have one that has been running for 4 years and the stuff it produces is the color of really dirty motor oil. BEST SKIMMER EVER (and I've tried most of them, Red Sea, Reef Octopus, Eshoppes, and a few that aren't made anymore) If you think about your investment in corals and fish, $500 isn't so bad for such a crucial element of your system ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replaces pump for older Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB *by M***R on March 13, 2023* I used this pump to replace the pump that failed on my 8-10 year old Reef Octopus 2000S-HOB skimmer.
