Available in 0.7 and 1.0mm nib sizes. Review: Great EDC, solid, sturdy metal construction. - Awesome pen. I replaced the refill with a Fisher space pen refill. Required swapping springs in/out of other pens till I got one that allowed it to extend/retract properly. The fisher refill is 0.0035" longer than the original zebra ink cartridge. Also, it was shipped in a plastic bag, not the packaging shown in the listing. There was a sticker on the pen barrel that when I removed it left a lot of sticky residue. I had to clean it up with 91% isopropanol. Push it out and you are good to go. I use this pen with Fisher refills everyday. Great pen. **Q: What makes it sooo much better than the original F-701 that justifies Zebra tripling the price on these things?** A: Zebra Pens released the new 100% metal F-701 in August 2018. The all metal pen is still designated as the F-701 in the USA. The F-xMD is an import and costs more **Q: Why is this pen $10 more than the F-701?** A: It is all metal for food service industry and can be sanitized. The 701 has some plastic components. **Q: I bought the 701 thinking it was going to be very durable. I dropped it on the concrete floor at work and it won't retract. Is this pen more durable?** A: The pen is all stainless-steel, the only plastic parts is the Click mechanism. I'm not sure how much more durable that part is in the pen, but it is almost the exact same as the 701. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great EDC, solid, sturdy metal construction. *by D***N on 3 January 2026* Awesome pen.
