I rinse the razor with rubbing alcohol to displace water and deter rust. If you don't shave in a few days it's probably best to put in a fresh blade just to avoid some rust. The stainless steel is prone to a bit of rust if left wet or sitting for too long. I can't remember when I bought these, but I'm still working my way through them more than a year later. The blades are sharp, high quality, and glide very well.

Since I discovered double edge shaving about 28 years ago, I've tried every raison out there and....yes, there are some that really sharp, but not hands down you can't beat the feather razor. It's by far the best value out there and all I have to say is the folk in Japan just do it right. Keep up the good work., and I recommend this razor for double edge and straight razor. Also, if you are someone that makes sourdough like my wife, excellent stuff, this makes an excellent razor for scoring.
