A: It is best to give it two coats of white exterior paint. This will help it hold up to the weather conditions

A: Its from China. Mine was mostly cut well, but I had a few parts that were not properly cut so I couldn't put together 2 of the frames.

**Q: can you add on to this kit, increasing the size of your hive?**
A: Yes.  You can add to this hive or use it to expand an existing langstroth hive that you already have.

**Q: Is the wood untreated?**
A: The wood appears to be untreated. It is not painted or stained.
