(I like to shop early for the family.) They looked great on him and he loved the shoes, but after very occasional use of this specific color, over the next couple of months, they started to make a squeaky noise as he walked. This was the only pair that did this and we've never had issues before with any Sperry in the past 20 years he's been buying them. So, it's a bit disheartening when a $60 pair of shoes start sounding like the cheap, poorly made pair of $20 tennis shoes. I know during COVID, prices have gone up and quality is declining in many products, but was this just a random lemon, or is this indicative of issues that may occur more often with a brand that's typically of higher quality? Ordinarily, you can't return or exchange shoes that have been worn and develop issues after several months. Just toss them in the wash with a capful of bleach, sun dry, and you're good to go. I wear a size 14 B (my feet aren't wide) and normally wear these with no-show socks though sometimes without. Either way, there is quite a bit of room in the toe area than I'm not used to with my other nice fitting shoes. It almost feels like I could have gone down a size.
