I had to trim it to properly fit under my 8 x 10 rug, which was not difficult. **Q: Is this safe for luxury vinyl plank flooring?** A: Yes, this is safe for your vinyl floor **Q: Witch side is the top?** A: I have the 8’x10’ and it is definitely different on both sides… there is a “softer” side and then the side with the “fine mesh” as another customer stated. Because I just received it and am placing it on hardwood floors I will have to decide how to lay it. **Q: Does this pad help prevent rug burn on the knees?** A: The pad has nothing to do with rug burn the fiber of your rug is what gives you the rug burn and how hard you rub against it. It gives some padding but if your rug is of a bristled texture the padding can not stop the abrasion to the skin. ## Frequently Bought Together - Mohawk Home 8' x 10' 1/4 Rug Pad 100% Felt Protective Cushion, Premium Comfort Underfoot – Safe for All Floors, Grey - Carpet Tape Double Sided - Rug Tape Grippers for Hardwood Floors and Area Rugs - Carpet Binding Tape Strong Adhesive and Removable, Heavy Duty Stickers Grip Tape, Residue Free (2 Inch / 12 Yards) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/263543335-8-x-10-1-4-rug-pad-100-felt-protective](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/263543335-8-x-10-1-4-rug-pad-100-felt-protective) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
