Review: No need for an oven mitt. - Unlike the junk non-stick skillets cast iron handles tend to get pretty hot. This handle cover from Lodge works on my 6-1/2" skillet and on my bigger 10-1/4" I was using a small mitt to handle during and after cooking this for the price basically replaced my mitt. I think I'll probably get another one so I don't need to switch between skillets. It fits fairly snug on the handle so I don't worry about it sliding off.you can see from my video that after cooking with it I'm able to easily grab the handle without burning myself. If you have a Lodge skillet I'd certainly consider getting one of these.

Unlike the junk non-stick skillets cast iron handles tend to get pretty hot. This handle cover from Lodge works on my 6-1/2" skillet and on my bigger 10-1/4" I was using a small mitt to handle during and after cooking this for the price basically replaced my mitt. I think I'll probably get another one so I don't need to switch between skillets. It fits fairly snug on the handle so I don't worry about it sliding off.you can see from my video that after cooking with it I'm able to easily grab the handle without burning myself. If you have a Lodge skillet I'd certainly consider getting one of these.
