This watch was so cheap I figure why not? As its always good for a referee to have a backup. The watch with the included directions was easy to set. I really like the fact that once the watch in timer screen completely counts down it will start counting up enabling me to properly time the halftime period. The screen for the countdown function also displays the actual time of day. I suspect for runners and other activities the stopwatch screen would be useful. The two items I disliked is the plastic band but it is functional . At this price you might even consider getting a nicer band. The second was I find the light on the watch to be very dim. Still the numbers are good size easy to read on the run. Now lets see how durable the watch is. If it lasts it will be a sreaming deal

Use this watch for umpiring time-limited games. Have tried three: one didn’t last a season and went blank, then two simply broke off where the band attaches, the last one after a week. Getting replacement but don’t expect it to last. Good features but cheap and doesn’t last.

I bought this watch as a gift. When we tried to set up it the screen went blank and didn’t turn on. I contacted the seller and they were so friendly and helpful. They sent a new watch in 2 days and it’s been working perfectly! My husband uses this when umpiring softball games and the large screen makes it easy to see the time. Great purchase, highly recommend!

I am a soccer referee.I have owned two of these watches and will probably purchase a third. I have a love/hate relationship with this watch. It is fairly cheap, so that is a plus. I used my first one without issue for three years. Then the battery died and the watch band split, so I replaced both the battery and band. Shortly after, the whole face and button for the light broke off. It still worked, but I decided to purchase another. The new one only lasted about 2 months and then died and wouldn't accept a new battery - bummer. The old one still worked, so I went back to it and have been using it for another 1.5 years.I love the countdown timer and the large display. When you click the stop button on the timer after it beeps complete, it continues as a count up timer. This works great for keeping track of half time duration.The one irritating function is that the watch will revert back to time mode if no buttons are depressed in the countdown mode after about 20 seconds. I can see how this may be desirable in the real world (inadvertent depression, time display again), but on the soccer field it is really frustrating getting ready to start the game only to realize that after verifying everyone else is ready to start that my watch is on the wrong display. I have to play accordingly. While the countdown is running, it will stay put, though.I will probably purchase this again. I use it as my backup. My first choice watch is the Armitron Sport Men's 408159BLK. It also has a large display and a countdown, though it is almost double the price.

For those looking for a sports watch/stopwatch, this little guy will do the job! It is low in price but offers a lot of options! It has a count down timer, stopwatch, save function, and is very comfortable.The main downside with this watch is that it can be complicated to program and set functions. However, after reading the manual and a few trial and errors, you should be able to get it to do what you want.Overall: this watch is a winner and I am satisfied with my purchase!

Great watch for officials who are looking for a countdown watch. Numbers are large and easy to read. Love the countdown feature that when it is done it will start to count up so that you can easily keep track of time between quarters.

This watch has nice big numbers, so it's fairly easy to read even if your eyes are starting to go for reading stuff. Bit tricky to reprogram, but no worse than any of the other digital watches you see out there. Nice big buttons that are easy to press even if you're wearing gloves during winter games.(EDITED) A few months later and this is still my favorite watch for reffing games. I like it so well, I'm going to buy another one for my second watch.I had been wearing a different watch as my backup, but the numbers on that were too small. When you're moving around the field and glancing, you want to be able to see it easily. (Being in my mid-40s probably doesn't help see stuff, although I don't wear glasses and don't need reading glasses...yet.)One thing I do find annoying is the reset from stopwatch (or countdown) screen to the main screen, but it's not that bad. I definitely like using the countdown screen with the alarm on; I set it to about 30 seconds longer than the length of the half, so if I'm so caught up that I've forgotten to check the time, the alarm will remind me to end the half. Then, after you hit the button, the timer counts UP to keep track of how long you've been out at halftime. Handy way to track this.

The watch goes off itself twice, the first time it come back itself. And on the second time, it does not come to life again... I waste my money... Very sad

Excellent watch for refereeing

Does the job, and good value. Includes timer for counting down the game quarters and half, and/or adding injury time etc. Time of day displays. Great tool for soccer/football refs with a no-nonsense interface. Settings can be a little cumbersome initially but once you get used to the sequence it is easy to make the adjustments required.

Only drawback with this watch is the timer up and down countdown in separate screen. Otherwise, time display numbers are bigger than other comparable price watches.
