As they are fully plastic (no metal edges) they are ok to be tried on our house floor /other surfaces without risking damage. The bindings have some flexibility which I think is a plus as they will adapt better to the walking movement/ naturalposition of the foot. We are waiting for the winter for testing these out but so far they seem a good product for the price. Review: Time will tell - The skis and poles look great and seem to be good quality for what they are.
