If and when you need to discharge it i recommend holding the resister with a pair of needle nose pliers because it will get hot enough to burn you. Only thing is I wish they proved something to shield its taps from accidental touching, otherwise im very happy with the purchase. The price is reasonable too compared to others that due the same thing, accessing the the light dimming screw is simple i recommend doing it discharged then recharging to see how it looks may take a couple goes to find somewhere your happy. I havent had any issues with it negatively effecting the battery life. Sound quality is the same but instead of the bass being dialed down it stays consistent. the capacitance is accurate tested with a meter it truly is a 2.5 farad.
