The extra media on both ends help seal both ends of your air cleaner cabinet. It should still fit in your Aprilaire Air Cleaner. We hope this helps. I figured out the answer after I asked the question. By switching to size 2 on the drop down menu and then reading the description, I figured out that size 2 is a 2-pack. **Q: How frequently do I change them** A: Approximately every 6-9 months...sometimes longer. I usually check it at around 6 months & take it from there.
