The DD-100-D-BLU Deep Dissection Petri Dish is a high-quality Kimax glass dish measuring 100 mm in diameter and 50 mm in height, featuring a dark blue bottom that enhances specimen visibility and is autoclavable for repeated use.

## Description

Check out our DD-ECON-90 (clear) and DD-ECON-90-BLK (black) Dissection Dishes for a great value. Our ECON series dissection dishes are available in bulk packages of 5 and 10 dishes. The DD-100-D-BLU Dissection Petri Dish is a high quality Kimax glass dissection dish. It is made from a relatively deep Petri dish (50 mm Height), which is useful when working with larger specimens that need to be fully submerged in a liquid for proper handling. The bottom of the dissection dish is lined with several millimeters of Sylgard material, the perfect medium for pinning out tissue specimens during delicate dissection procedures. The Sylgard lining is free of air bubbles, and is not sticky to the touch. These dishes are autoclavable, and withstand many months of regular usage. The Sylgard material will seal itself when a dissecting pin is removed, providing a clean smooth bottom for some time. The DD-100-D-BLU Dissection Petri Dish features a dark blue Sylgard bottom. When illuminated from above, this provides a high-contrast background for light-colored specimens. When illuminated from underneath, the bottom takes on a bluer appearance, which can be desirable for providing an appealing background in photomicrography work. NOTE: Dimensions are approximate, due to slight variations in the sizing of the glass Petri Dishes from batch-to-batch.
