Review: Worked Very Well - I bought rubber-backed stair treads for my hardwood stairs because my older dog started having trouble navigating the bare steps and slipped a few times. The treads were okay but did move a bit and I had to keep adjusting them. I didn't feel they were secure enough so I bought this rug tape. I cut and placed two strips on each tread, front and back edges as recommended. The tape is very sticky but if you take your time, it is easy to work with. It stuck very well on the rubber backing and on the step and after pushing on and rubbing the tread a bit on the step, it was quite secure. Since I only used this about a week ago, I can't speak to whether the stickiness will hold up over time. It says there is no residue if you remove the tape but it is not a concern because I have decided to always keep treads on the stairs for safety. My dog is much more comfortable/confident going up and down the stairs so I am happy with the results. Review: If you’re a first time carpet owner like me, get this now thank me later ! - I loved that it was super easy to rip, didn’t need any scissors. The stickiness is to a whole new level, so just make sure your tape doesn’t restick to the tape while you’re pulling it. It took my two tries before I finally managed to just rip the tape , stick it to the carpet and then take out the plastic! Works great! And for the price is a win win! ## Features - Secure rugs over carpet and hardwood floors - Heavy duty two sided tape to keeps your rugs in place - Residue free heavy duty double sided tape - Removes without damaging or leaving a residue behind - Simple to use double sided rug tape - Easily tears to length, no scissors needed - Versatile and strong - Strong double face tape sticks to any surface, indoors or out, even concrete - Keep rugs in place - With 50% more adhesive, choose The Good Stuff for rug tape that works anywhere ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08FJCLV9M | | Brand | The Good Stuff | | Brand Name | The Good Stuff | | Color | White | | Colour | White | | Compatible Material | Fabric | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 4,187 Reviews | | Included Components | Enough Tape for Multiple Rugs | | Item Weight | 15 Ounces | | Manufacturer | The Good Stuff | | Material | Other | | Material Type | Other | | Model | holdit1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Outdoor and Indoor Rug Tape | | Part Number | holdit1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Indoor | | Recommended uses for product | Indoor | | Size Name | 2 Inch | | Special features | Outdoor and Indoor Rug Tape | | Surface Recommendation | Concrete | | UPC | 744309876958 | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** The Good Stuff - **Colour:** White - **Material:** Other - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Recommended uses for product:** Indoor ## Images ![The Good Stuff (5.1cm) - Heavy Duty Double Sided Rug Tape for Area Rugs on Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Secure Rugs with Strong 2 Sided Carpet Tape for Floors (5.1cm x 23m) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hT1LmhNfL.jpg) ![The Good Stuff (5.1cm) - Heavy Duty Double Sided Rug Tape for Area Rugs on Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Secure Rugs with Strong 2 Sided Carpet Tape for Floors (5.1cm x 23m) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81uHLYJyWRL.jpg) ![The Good Stuff (5.1cm) - Heavy Duty Double Sided Rug Tape for Area Rugs on Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Secure Rugs with Strong 2 Sided Carpet Tape for Floors (5.1cm x 23m) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81SxLybzqsL.jpg) ![The Good Stuff (5.1cm) - Heavy Duty Double Sided Rug Tape for Area Rugs on Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Secure Rugs with Strong 2 Sided Carpet Tape for Floors (5.1cm x 23m) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81I5vWKQG0L.jpg) ![The Good Stuff (5.1cm) - Heavy Duty Double Sided Rug Tape for Area Rugs on Hardwood Floors and Carpet, Secure Rugs with Strong 2 Sided Carpet Tape for Floors (5.1cm x 23m) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91n6W8ibjiL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: If I use to prevent slippage rug on rug, will it leave residue or damage the underlying carpet???** A: I have had my rug taped down on my carpet for months now and I haven't had this problem. Rubbing alcohol takes it off glass easily, so id I ever have a residue problem, I would use that, since it doesn't damage my carpet. **Q: Does this rug tape stick well to concrete?** A: Yes, very effective. We have tried other products, but this is the first one that really works. **Q: Is this carpet tape safe to use on parquet?** A: Yes, this carpet tape can safely be used on parquet flooring. **Q: I have a desk floor mat that keeps scooting on the carpet. would this hold the mat in place??** A: Yes, it will keep it in place. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked Very Well *by C***T on 9 April 2026* I bought rubber-backed stair treads for my hardwood stairs because my older dog started having trouble navigating the bare steps and slipped a few times.
