The 500 is a decent pencil but you need to buy the graphgear 1000 to get a full metal body. I also like the Pentel 120 A3 Mechanical Pencil, if you can find it. It's a plastic body but it has a rubber grip with nice feel. I bought a set of 4 of the A3 pencils on EBay for $14. **Q: Is this pencil genuine Pentel?** A: Heck yes!!! **Q: Does it come with lead and if so how many?** A: Hello consumer! The grip feels comfortable and secure, making it easy to write or draw for long periods. Overall, the product itself is really good. However, the provider/manufacturer should definitely consider including a lead pack with the pencil. Since it's a 0.3mm size, the leads are not always easy to find, and having at least one pack included would make the purchase feel more complete and convenient.
