It certainly had a cast of actors that should have made it work, because they all did a decent job with their parts. I really enjoyed Joan Bennett although she had a small part to play overall. It was a pleasure getting to see what she was capable of doing in the right format, especially after Dark Shadows, that went on the air live without giving the actors time perfect or refine performances, or even properly memorize their lines. It was nice to see that she was still capable of giving a good performance when the opportunity presented itself. Anyway, After watching The Eyes of Charles Sand, it's clear that the cast was not the problem. The script certainly was badly butchered, and the directing and editing were a disaster. The movie should have been turned into a mini-series instead of this abbreviated hour and a half it ended up as, because there was a lot of potential in the storyline that the brevity of the film could not accommodate. Lester. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Return to the Heyday of 1970s TV Movies *by G***X on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 16, 2019* The TV movies of the 1970s were fresh and engaging, and this is one of the best of the supernatural genre. The fact that it starred handsome Peter Haskell as the lead is simply an added bonus, but I can't think of anyone else of that era that could fit the bill. The supporting actors were quite familiar to TV audiences of the day: Adam West, Bradford Dillman, Barbara Rush, Sharon Farrell, and the inimitable Joan Bennett. The plot involves psychic visions that drag the protagonist into a murder within a strange family. The only complaint I have about the story content is the over-the-top shrill acting by both Farrell and Rush - too, too much shrieking. Now, this movie is forty-seven years old and one might expect a less than adequate picture, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the images were crisp and colorful - not faded or blurry at all.
