There is also a 4th mode that stops the drill when the screw head gets to the surface even if your finger is still holding the trigger. When i first got it i did not know how to change it out of this mode which was irritated because it would stop prematurely for longer screw however in certain applications like putting roofing screws in with the rubber seals it will save you from overtightenimg them. The button to cycle modes is above the mode light by where the batteries clip on the tool. Also, it is so easy to put bits in compared to my old milwaukee impact driver because you dont have to slide the chuck forward to slide a bit in you just press it in and it grabs it.
