I gently pulled down the sides while going in a circle, as my other hand was gently pushing down on the very top. It does go on.As for audio quality, there's a slight difference. I was already using the Blue Pop Filter. Some reviews claim this windscreen eliminates background noise. These reviews are lying to you. My gain is at 0 and my other mic settings are optimized and I still get a little bit of background noise. It's not the windscreens fault, its the Blue Yeti. You're going to have some no matter what. If you don't wqant background noise at all I'd recommend upgrading to the Rode PodCaster.
