Its innovative snap-in collar and flexible screw holder ensure secure, damage-minimized mounting of heavy objects like cabinets and shelves, making it a versatile, reliable choice for professional-grade DIY and construction projects. ## Description From the manufacturer fischer DuoTec fischer Group of Companies fischer, the specialist for safe, economical, and innovative fixing and connecting elements for the construction and DIY industry has become one of the market leaders in fastening technology. The spectrum of products consists of 15.000 proprietary articles as well as various customer-specific solutions and ranges from chemical applications to steel anchors and plastic plugs. Nylon gravity toggle for heavy loads The DuoTec is an easy-to-install 2-component dowel for high loads. The red component ensures an even load distribution, whereby the gray part prevents surface damage. It can be used as a tilting dowel in all prefabricated building materials or as a spreading dowel in solid building materials. The short tilting element allows use in narrow and insulated cavities. Thanks to its wide range of applications and high holding values, the dowel offers optimum support for any assembly work. For high tensile and transverse loads Unique dowel geometry Even load distribution & load reduction Flexible screw support for different thread shapes Collar sleeve with snap-in function for safe pre-assembly fischer DuoTec – Examples of application Two sizes – dual function With glass-fiber-reinforced plastics and a metal-skeleton insert, the DuoTec 12 is suitable for high loads in all prefabricated building materials. Its scale helps to determine the length of suitable chipboard and machine screws which then can be easily inserted thanks to the release latch. The DuoTec 10 is particularly suitable for plasterboard and can be perfectly used with wood and chipboard screws as well as metric hooks. Benefits & Functionality Suitable for common borehole diameters, the DuoTec with its short tilting element ensures easy installation. Due to the collar sleeve with snap-in function, the dowel can be pre-assembled in the borehole quickly and safely. Thanks to its flexible screw holder, it can be used with a wide variety of thread shapes. With the soft support side, the load can be evenly distributed and thus the weakening of the building material is minimised. Areas of application The DuoTec is suitable for use in numerous panel/hollow building materials such as plasterboard, gypsum fibreboard, hollow concrete blocks, wood, steel and plastic boards as well as in solid materials such as concrete and wood. Ideal for attaching kitchen wall cabinets, shelves, living room cabinets, wardrobes, handrails, picture frames, mirrors, lamps, hanging baskets and much more. Different functions for different building materials tilting in insulation materials Safe tilting in insulation materials such as rock wool or glass wool. Tilting in prefabricated building materials Safe tilting in prefabricated building materials such as plasterboard or steel plates. Tilting in cavities Safe tilting in cavities. Recommendation for concrete & wood: DuoTec 12 Spreading in solid building materials Safe spreading in solid building materials such as brick. Review: Cheville très pratique - Je ne connaissais pas du tout ses cheville et surprise de se système qui est très solide par contre le prix et à revoir Review: Not suitable to hang anything more than a picture frame. - Used these to hang something on a hollow brick. As soon as the plug experiences even the slightest force, the screw lets loose. Would not recommend this at all. ## Features - Quick & easy installation: Intelligent cavity plug to attach heavy loads to all prefabricated building materials – the white flush sleeve with its locking mechanism reinforces the borehole and enables a fast pre-mounting of the plug whilst preventing it from falling into the borehole even without a screw. - High load capacity: Thanks to its short toggle element, the toggle-plug is suitable for narrow and insulated cavities and ensures a secure hold of high tensile and lateral loads in all prefabricated building materials – the 2-component plug automatically opens behind the plate and enables the soft, grey nylon support side to distribute the load on the panel surface and minimise the weakening of the load-bearing building material. - Versatility: In solid construction materials, the powerful plug works like a spreading plug with its flexible steel screw holder that allows the cavity wall plug to be used with screws and hooks of various thread shapes. - Areas of application: The powerful plug is suitable for numerous building materials such as plasterboard and fiberboard, wood, steel & plastic panels, hollow concrete stones and solid materials as well as for attaching heavy objects such as kitchen wall cabinets, living room cabinets, shelves, wardrobes, handles, picture frames, mirrors, lamps, and hanging baskets. - Scope of delivery: 10 x DuoTec 12 S PH M + 10 x Panhead screw 6 x 70 (item no. 542797) by fischer. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0778M5LY5 | | Best Sellers Rank | #52,771 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #87 in Hardware Plugs | | Brand | fischer | | Color | Grey/Red | | Colour | Grey/Red | | Compatible Groove Diameter | 12 Millimeters | | Country Of Origin | Czech Republic | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 759 Reviews | | Fastener Type | dowel | | Fastener type | dowel | | Finish Types | Two-tone (Grey/Red) | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04048962299847 | | Included Components | 1 x Fischer Duotec S PH M Toggle Fixing, 12 mm Size | | Item Diameter | 12 Millimeters | | Item Dimensions | 90 x 45 x 172 centimeters | | Item Shape | Round | | Item Type Name | Toggle Fixing | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 90 x 45 x 172 centimeters | | Manufacturer | fischer | | Material | Nylon Stainless Steel | | Material Type | Nylon Stainless Steel | | Model | 542797 | | Number Of Items | 10 | | Number of Pieces | 20 | | Part Number | 542797 | | Screw Head Style | pan | | Set Name | 10-pack | | Size | 12 millimeters | | Size Name | 12 millimeters | | Thread Size | 6mm x 70mm | | Unit Count | 10 Meters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** fischer - **Colour:** Grey/Red - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 90 x 45 x 172 centimeters - **Material:** Nylon Stainless Steel - **Size:** 12 millimeters ## Images ![542797 DuoTec Wall Plug & Screw, 12, Grey/Red - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/314wCUY8nzL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheville très pratique *by L***E on 19 October 2023* Je ne connaissais pas du tout ses cheville et surprise de se système qui est très solide par contre le prix et à revoir ### ⭐⭐ Not suitable to hang anything more than a picture frame. *by G***L on 21 August 2023* Used these to hang something on a hollow brick. I recommend getting a long thin type of punch to help push the fasteners through thick dryway or drywall/plywood layers. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/274986373-542797-duotec-wall-plug-and-screw-12-grey-red](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/274986373-542797-duotec-wall-plug-and-screw-12-grey-red) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
